RIT BAG Original |
|
Buy: $325.00 |
Description: R.A.D System ™ Rapid Air Deployment Our unique designed area of the bag is designed to hold both a quick connect and an extra mask pre-connected to your air bottle. Be prepared for all contingencies such as mask failure or incompatible masks. Since that mask and quick valve are already attached you will save precious time. To access these tools just press the quick release buckle. The flap is lined with reflective tape and has an extra long strap.
Seven loops for attaching accessories On the backside are seven loops made from durable webbing that can be used to attach strobes, rope bag and any other accessories you prefer to carry. Being placed on the back, these loops will be out of the way when the shoulders straps are in use. When using a standard SCBA holder the tools will face out and be out of the way of the brackets.
Drag / Confined space lowering strap The drag strap is to be used for low-level entry and rescue. Some conditions will force the rescuer to have to crawl on his/her knees. The RIT BAG can easily be drug across the ground without snagging or tearing. When the rescued firefighter needs to exit at a low level they have the option to drag the bag next to them while receiving the new air. The large 2” strap is easy to grab, see, and is very strong. Can also be used to LOWER air supply into a confined space.
Two tool pockets The RIT BAG has two pockets with large loops for easy opening. Each pocket has two pouches that will allow you to carry up to four tools. We recommend that you carry at least one large cable cutter and one pair of tin snips. Many departments will carry two set of each on one bag so no matter which side of the bag is next to you, you will always know that both tools will be there. Other departments have one set of these tools and also include a flashlight and light sticks.
Kevlar Aramid strap The large shoulder strap, made from Kevlar Aramid, is strong and heat resistant. This Kevlar Aramid strap will stand up against the high temperature debris of a fire during rescue while dragging the firefighter to safety. The last thing you want is the strap breaking when rescuing a down firefighter. The two-inch width is easy to grab and see. We use metal quick release buckles that adjust to fit your RIT member or victim.
Quick release buckles The quick release buckles can be used with gloves and are similar to traditional SCBA buckles. They are made from metal that is very strong and heat resistant. When in the process of rescuing the firefighter speed is essential. The strap can be quickly wrapped around a firefighter’s chest and buckled, securing the bag around the firefighter.
Stream line design For efficient RIT team operations we have designed a slim bag. Large RIT bags slow down the rescue. Size, weight and complexity impede the speed of a rescue. This slim design allows a rescuer to carry only the necessary equipment needed. This bag can be used in tight areas without getting hung-up. The large pocket flaps cover up the tools so they don’t snag. The top of the bag securely ties down the bottle to form a torpedo shape that will help keep the bag snag-free.
Visibility High quality reflective tape has been placed in key areas of the bag. The yellow color of the RIT BAG is easily recognizable. Together, they create a very visible bag whether it’s in a smoky room or late at night.
Adaptability: The RIT BAG has been designed to hold all makes and sizes of bottles. Fits all SCBA brackets. Made in USA |

RIT BAG T.E.X.S. Tactical EXtraction System |
|
Buy: $499.00 |
Description: Rescuing civilians in a fire is one of the most important jobs that firefighters are tasked with. When the rescue of one of our own is the job - that task becomes much more difficult. Until now firefighters have had to use tarps or a piece of webbing to assist in that rescue. Well times have changed and firefighters now have a new tool - the Tactical Extraction System or T.E.X.S.
The T.E.X.S. is a compact tool designed to give firefighters more options to drag - lift and carry. We all know the difficulty in moving an unconscious person and the extreme amount of energy it takes out of rescue teams. Many times one person is doing the majority of the work because of minimal grab or lifting points. The T.E.X.S. gives rescue teams more efficient grab - lift and carry points - maximizing the full strength of the rescue team. Fire Departments need to maximize rescue efforts and get the job accomplished quickly and efficiently by the first or second rescue team. Once again - the T.E.X.S. provides the rescue team with options.
When should a T.E.X.S. be deployed? Anytime you have larger structures or multi-story buildings. On average you can apply a T.E.X.S. in less than minute with zero visibility. You need to make up this time on the way out. |

RIT BAG - RIT LOOPS + Power Handles - Long Length with Carabiner |
|
Buy: $30.00 |
Description: RIT LOOPS + Power Handles GAIN LEVERAGE!!
What is it? Originally FF Ron Kent was training with the DRD on their new bunker gear. The webbing dug into his hand through the glove. The DRD is functional but uncomfortable and made the victim feel heavier. In addition - departments surrounding him did not have DRD’s. Ron wanted a more efficient way to utilize this new feature.
What we’ve done is taken the power handle we use on the R.E.D. and use reflective rope for high visibility. We sew an eye loop in the end to keep the carabiner centered. Ron has increased leverage due to dispersed pressure along width of the handle.
Ron had several choices for handle material – PVC - Copper - Steel and Aluminum. After several tests - aluminum was found to be the lightest and most durable. PVC tended to get very brittle when exposed to cold temperature or hit on the ground. The other materials were just too heavy. Our total weight with rope is only 4oz! No knots. It can be used in two different configurations with or without a carabineer. If you use it with a carabineer it can be clipped to the pick point on the new SCBA’s RIT areas.
This allows a very quick and strong point of attachment for dragging. Another way to use it is without a carabineer. Most of the SCBA’s out there do not have a pick point. It functions just the same by using a girth hitch around the shoulder straps and pulling; and as you can see in this clip - it works just the same. It can also be girth hitched around the knees of the down firefighter and used as a point to pull - assisting the firefighter at the head. This allows two firefighters to drag a down firefighter out together. Note that the power handle is what really makes this loop stand out from just a standard hose strap. |

RIT BAG Bunker Suspender Organizer |

Buy: $25.00 |
Description: How many times have you reached for that pen in your bunker pants and it was broken or missing? Then you grab the spare EMS gloves in your pocket but it’s filled with dirt from the last fire? You’ve been asked to write a report - but forgot a pen and piece of paper?
Well, no more! Keep spare EMS gloves - paper - pen - money and ID all in one place – with your bunker gear. Just attach this to your suspenders and it will stay dry under your bunker coat and out of the way. Some even attach their pager and cell phone on the loops or inside in place of the tablet.
FF Darrin Shaw was tired of forgetting pens - gloves etc. and realizing no one else had one on them. He’d walk back to the rig hoping someone left something there from the shift before. He decided he needed a spot for small items used on a daily basis.
The pocket was designed around the Rite in Rain Tablet No. 135. So even if the tablet does get wet you can still write. The pen pockets are made large enough to fit window punches or grease pens.
The back of our pouch has bi-direction webbing. This way you can add it to a standard belt or suspenders.
After your next call - you can make a stop and grab a few things because you have some spare dollars or your credit card with you in your organizer. |

RIT BAG Bunker Tool Organizer |
|
Buy: $30.00 |
Description: The Bunker Pocket tool organizer allows your favorite tools to be neatly organized and conveniently placed in your bunker pants pocket.
Firefighter Ron Kent had pieced together his own tool belt using belts designed for construction workers. However - these are not designed for firefighters; they were too tight - too big or too small and had a tendency to fall out of his pocket.
Ron designed the Tool Organizer to fit both in his bunker pocket and on the belt of his SCBA. His preference is to carry - dikes - tin nips - wood shims - light sticks - window punch and a power handle. However - you will find room to carry tools that you find most useful.
Large looped handle makes it easy to remove from pocket when trying to locate specific tools.
Tool ideas: 9" Cable cutters - Window punch - Box knife - Chem lights - Door wedges and Wire cutters |

RIT BAG - RIT CACHE |
|
Buy: $169.00 |
Description: The RIT CACHE was developed due to departments all over the country facing the same problem; fire fighters unable to identify where the RIT Team and their products were located. FF Ron Kent watched his RIT Tools disappear from his staging area. He wanted a staging cache so there would be no mistake about which tools are for the RIT team. In addition - he wanted the ability to account for each tool; so he made vinyl graphics designating the proper location for specific items.
We at RIT BAG worked with Ron to develop the RIT CACHE Tarp - enabling fire fighters to quickly identify the location of the RIT Team and allowing efficient organization of the team’s tools.
In most RIT emergencies, the Team consists of several firefighters waiting with equipment loosely organized. Potentially - this allows other fire fighters to mistakenly take equipment (Axe - Halligan - etc.) allocated for the RIT Team.
The bright yellow color and durable high tenacity polyester make it virtually impossible to mistake the staging area and provides a waterproof place for equipment.
As an option - we offer to place your team (RIT, HIGH RISE, etc.) as well as company identification on the tarp. As an added benefit, this allows an unmistakable mark to your department in the case of a mutual aide fire. For a small fee we will add graphics identifying specific tool locations (axe - SCBA - etc.).
